Ebengo number one in Rwanda D1 for round 3 (by Hoops Agents)

DR Congolese Forward Feza Ebengo (185-F-1999) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for The Hoops Kigali, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 3.
The 26-year old player had a double-double of 18 points and 18 rebounds, while her team beat RP-IPRC Huye (#8, 0-2), the league's bottom-ranked team 72-60. The Hoops maintains the 3rd position in Rwandan D1. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. But it's just the very beginning of the season and The Hoops won both games without losing any. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. Ebengo just recently signed at The Hoops and just after two games she already turned to be a very valuable addition to the team. Feza Ebengo has solid league stats. She is in league's top in points (8th best: 16.0ppg) and averages impressive 3.5bpg and 3.5spg.

The second best player in last round's games was another The Hoops' star - young Alpha Ishimwe (2010). Ishimwe had a very good evening with a double-double of 12 points and 12 rebounds. Of course The Hoops Kigali cruised to a 72-60 relatively comfortable win over RP-IPRC Huye (0-2). Her team has extremely good start of the season. They won both games so far. However the season is at the beginning, so everything can happen. They still may lose their high position in the standings. Ishimwe is a newcomer at The Hoops, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was guard Marie Yamfashije (G-2002) of Groups Scolaire Marie Reine Rwaza (#7). Yamfashije showcased her all-around game by recording 20 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists in the last round. Despite Yamfashije's great performance the GSMRR lost 52-80 to REG (#2, 2-0). But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates. GSMRR can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have awful season losing so far all 2 games. Yamfashije has a very solid season. In 2 games in Rwanda she scored 14.0ppg.
