REG smashed Azomco in Kigali 86-64. REG forced 21 Azomco turnovers. Strangely Azomco outrebounded REG 55-43 including a 22-11 advantage in offensive rebounds. REG looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a good game for DR Congolese forward Frank Betoudji (201-1998) who led his team to a victory with 20 points and 7 rebounds. American point guard Elliott Elliot (180-1994, college: Charleston) contributed with 18 points and 7 assists for the winners. Blaise Mugisha (-2004) answered with 27 points and 6 rebounds for Azomco. Azomco's coach gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win.
The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Patriots (1-1) in Kigali. Hosts were rolled over by Tigers (2-0) 86-66. It was a great evening for American forward Anthony Tarke (201-1998, college: Coppin St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Antino Jackson helped adding 13 points and 10 assists. The best for the losing side was American guard Damaria Franklin (190-1999, college: Memphis) with 25 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.

It was an exceptional evening for Chad Bowie who led the winners and scored 23 points and 6 assists. Nkosinathi Sibanyoni came up with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 21 rebounds and 4 blocks for UGB in the defeat. UGB's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
