The Regular Season in RBL just started. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.
The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Inspired Gen. in Kigali on Sunday night. Visitors were rolled over by REG 116-70. REG forced 23 Inspired Gen. turnovers and outrebounded them 48-36 including 21 on the offensive glass. REG looked well-organized offensively handing out 35 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Inspired Gen.'s players. DR Congolese forward Frank Betoudji (201-1998) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and the former international Prince Muhizi (200-1996) chipped in 26 points and 6 rebounds. At the losing side Samuel Asiribo responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 14 rebounds. REG will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Inspired Gen.'s supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Kigali to the arena APR.
Very significant was EAU's 15-point road victory against UGB 78-63. South Sudanese swingman Ruai Luak (198-2004) nailed a double-double by scoring 24 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side and Yamin Niyubahwe accounted for 10 points, 16 rebounds and 5 blocks. Center Eric Kayondo came up with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds for UGB in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
