Lucas is back at APR BBC Kigali

Italee Lucas

APR BBC Kigali (D1) signed experienced 36-year old American (has also Angolan passport) guard Italee Lucas (172cm-1989, college: UNC). It is actually her comeback to Kigali as she has played here before. She played last season at Qurain in Kuwaiti D1 league.the last season at GD Inter-Clube de Luanda in Angola. She also played for Azour in Lebanese WLBL where in 14 games she had 12.7ppg, 6.3rpg, 4.4apg and 1.3spg. 2025-25 was a great season as she was named to Asia-Basket.com All-Lebanese League Third Team.
In 2011 she was drafted by Tulsa Shock (WNBA) in second round (21st overall).
The former University of North Carolina star is in her 15th (!!!) season in pro basketball. Lucas has been regularly called to the Angolan Senior National Team since 2017.
She is quite experienced player. Lucas has played in nine different countries on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Africa and of course North America). She has played professionally in Hungary (Miskolc), Iraq (Akkad and Ghaz Al-Shamal), Israel (Hertzliya), Lebanon, Qatar (Al Gharafa), Romania (Satu Mare), Spain (Hondarribia-Irun, IDK Euskotren and Girona) and Egypt (Al Ahly and Heliopolis).
Lucas won Qatari League championship title in 2024.
It's very possible she may end her playing career at APR BBC Kigali.
