APR BBC Kigali signs Yacine Diop

Yacine Diop

APR BBC Kigali signed 30-year-old Senegalese international swingman Yacine Diop. She played last season at Al-Hala in Bahrain Premier League. During the previous season, she played at Yalova Vip Genclik in Turkish TKBL where in 27 games she had very impressive stats: 21.9ppg, 10.1rpg, 3.0apg, 2.5spg, and 1.0bpg. In the 2024-25 season, she was named to Eurobasket.com Turkish TKBL All-Imports Team, League Player of the Week (2 times), and Eurobasket.com All-Turkish TKBL Third Team.
She has also been a member of the Senegalese international program for some years. Diop has regularly played for the Senegalese senior team since 2018 and previously for the Under 18 National Team in 2012.
She is a very experienced player. Diop has played in six different countries on three different continents (Europe, Africa, and North America). She has played professionally in France (Charnay), Russia (Enisey), Spain (Estepona), Turkey, and Egypt (Sporting).
Diop played in the final of the Egyptian League in 2024.
She graduated from the University of Louisville in 2020 and it is her sixth season as a professional player. Diop played also for the University of Pittsburgh for 4 years.
