Rwanda U16 - Tanzania U16 60-41

Rwanda U16 powered past Tanzania U16 with a 60-41 victory in their AfroBasket 2025 opener. After a strong 14-3 start in the first quarter, Rwanda went scoreless in the second as Tanzania rallied 16-0 to grab a surprising halftime lead at 19-14. However, Rwanda came out of the break with renewed energy, dominating the third quarter 26-11 to swing the momentum back in their favor. They sealed the win in style with a 20-11 fourth-quarter surge, completing a commanding second-half performance to secure the 19-point win.
Atete Ndaruhutse (F-2010) top-scored for the winners with 17 points and Alpha Ishimwe (2010) netted 15. Rose Katamboy (PG-2009) answered with 19 points and Inoth Miage (SG-2009) had 11.
