Kepler held REG to an opponent 23.9 percent shooting from the field compared to 31.7 percent accuracy of the winners. Strangely REG outrebounded Kepler 52-38 including 19 on the offensive glass. The best player for the winners was DR Congolese center Aichata Traore (185-2005) who had a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds. Henriette Uwimpuhwe (-2000) chipped in 18 points and 4 steals. At the other side the best for losing team was Paul Akon who recorded a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds and American power forward Kristina King (190-1995, college: WVU) added 9 points and 16 rebounds respectively.

APR forced 31 The Hoops turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. It was a good game for international guard Destiney Philoxy (170-2000, college: UMass) who led her team to a victory with 19 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists. International point guard Sandra Kantore (174-1993) contributed with 10 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Four APR players scored in double figures. APR's coach Charles Mushumba used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. DR Congolese forward Feza Ebengo (185-1999, agency: LBM Management) answered with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international center Rebecca Cyuzuzo (192-2007) added 11 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for The Hoops.
