The best player for the winners was Mali Kadidia Maiga (185-1997) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists. Paul Akon chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds. American center Desi-Rae Young (185-2002, college: UNLV) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 16 rebounds and point guard Nelly Nsanzabaganwa (-1995) added 13 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the hosts. The former international center Rebecca Cyuzuzo (192-2007) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Four The Hoops players scored in double figures. International guard Destiney Philoxy (170-2000, college: UMass) replied with a double-double by scoring 27 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists and Mali guard Kamba Diakite (172-1999) added 16 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for APR.
