The Hoops - REG 42-102

REG held The Hoops to an opponent 25.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 45.1 percent accuracy of the winners. REG forced 35 The Hoops turnovers and outrebounded them 57-33 including a 27-15 advantage in offensive rebounds. REG looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by The Hoops' players. The best player for the winners was American power forward Kristina King (190-1995, college: WVU) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 steals. The former international point guard Odile Tetero (162-1998) chipped in 14 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. REG's coach Esperance Mukaneza felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international center Rebecca Cyuzuzo (192-2007) produced 10 points and 7 rebounds and Mali Kadiatou Coulibaly (-1990) added 10 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the hosts.

American center Desi-Rae Young (185-2002, college: UNLV) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds. Point guard Nelly Nsanzabaganwa (-1995) contributed with 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four Kepler players scored in double figures. International guard Destiney Philoxy (170-2000, college: UMass) replied with 29 points and 5 rebounds and Mali guard Kamba Diakite (172-1999) added 12 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for APR. APR's coach Charles Mushumba rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
