The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Kigali: The Hoops (#5) and Azomco (#6). The Hoops (12-8) crushed visiting Azomco (9-11) by 33 points 93-60. The Hoops dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Azomco's 34. The Hoops forced 44 Azomco turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was a great evening for Mali Kadiatou Coulibaly (-1990) who led her team to a victory scoring 29 points and 7 rebounds. DR Congolese forward Feza Ebengo (185-1999, agency: LBM Management) helped adding 18 points and 9 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). At the losing side Adeline Ihimbazwe responded with 9 points and 15 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The Hoops have a solid series of three victories in a row. It was a quality performance for center Deborah Ntawutarama (-2003) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 17 rebounds and 5 assists.
