Paul Akon gets MVP of the Week award for Rwandan D1 (by Hoops Agents)

Paul Akon had an amazing evening in the last round for league's leader REG BBC Kigali and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 16.
The had a double-double of 25 points and 11 rebounds, while her team outclassed EA Univ (#7, 8-11) with 34-point margin 96-62. It allowed REG to consolidate first place in the Rwandan D1. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is already in a full swing and REG still have not lost a single game, getting all 19 victories. In the team's last game Akon had a remarkable 75.0% from 2-point range. She just recently signed at REG, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Paul Akon averages this season 18.7ppg and 10.3rpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was Chishola Lynn of RP-IPRC Huye. Lynn impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 18 points and 16 rebounds. Of course she led RP-IPRC Huye to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked UR BBC (#10, 1-17) 66-45. RP-IPRC Huye's 5th position in the standings has not changed. Her team lost some distance to top teams. But a 9-8 record is not bad and everything may still change. Lynn is one of the most experienced players at RP-IPRC Huye and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was Ange Uwiringiyimana (G) of East Africa University (#7). Uwiringiyimana scored 20 points and grabbed 17 rebounds (!!!). She was a key player of EA Univ, leading her team to a 97-50 easy win against the lower-ranked UR BBC (#10, 1-17). The chances of EA Univ ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 11 games, recording just eight victories. With bigger assistance of her teammates, Uwiringiyimana could help EA Univ to bring them higher in the standings. Uwiringiyimana has a very solid season. In 18 games in Rwanda she scored 14.0ppg. She also has 12.2rpg and 3.4spg.

10. Gloriose Byukusenge (SG-2001) of REG - 13 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists
