The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Kigali: Azomco (#8) and Orion (#6). Azomco (3-11) crushed visiting Orion (5-10) by 17 points 115-98. Azomco dominated down low during the game scoring 82 of its points in the paint compared to Orion's 58. Azomco forced 19 Orion turnovers and outrebounded them 63-44 including a 29-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. Azomco looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Richard Bizimungu stepped up with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 20 rebounds for the winners and American guard Damaria Franklin (190-1999, college: Memphis) chipped in 21 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals. Azomco's coach Daniel Monibe used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side Kennedy Garba responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 20 rebounds. Newly promoted Azomco maintains eighth place with 3-11 record. Orion at the other side dropped to the seventh position with ten games lost.

Central African guard Kurt-Curry Wegscheider (196-2001, college: LCU) nailed 23 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side and Chad Bowie accounted for 18 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Kepler's coach Juruni Lutwama used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. American point guard Da'Kquan Davis (185-2000, college: Albany) came up with 31 points for Espoir in the defeat. Kepler moved-up to sixth place. Espoir lost tenth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 13 games lost.
