Keita's double-double lands her Player of the Week award

23-year old Beninese center Veronica Keita (190-C-2001) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for second-ranked Kepler BBC Kigali and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 13.
She had a double-double of 18 points and 23 rebounds, while her team beat EA Univ (#7, 6-8) 77-67. Kepler maintains the 2nd position in Rwandan D1. Kepler has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 13-1. Keita just recently signed at Kepler, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Keita has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in points (9th best: 15.1ppg).

Second best performed player last round was Feza Ebengo (185-F-1999, agency: LBM Management) of The Hoops Kigali. She is DR Congolese forward in her first season at The Hoops. In the last game Ebengo recorded an impressive double-double of 30 points and 17 rebounds. Of course she led The Hoops to another comfortable win outscoring slightly higher-ranked RP-IPRC Huye (#4, 8-6) 82-52. This victory allowed The Hoops to move up to 6th position in the standings. Her team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 6-7 record. Ebengo is one of the most experienced players at The Hoops and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.1ppg (#4). Her other stats are also decent: 14.9rpg and 4.1apg.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Kamba Diakite (172-G-1999) of APR BBC Kigali (#3). Diakite got into 30-points club by scoring 41 points in the last round. She went also for five assists. She was a key player of APR, leading her team to a 107-68 easy win against the lower-ranked UR BBC (#10, 1-13). APR is closer and closer to top of the standings. They will still need more victories. But 13-2 record is not that bad... Diakite has a great season in Rwanda. After 12 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 23.7ppg (best scorer). She also has 4.6spg and a FGP of 68.3%.

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
