Sandrine Mushikiwabo gets MVP of the Week award for Rwandan D1 (by Hoops Agents)

International Power forward Sandrine Mushikiwabo (182-PF-1995) put on an amazing game in the last round for league's leader REG BBC Kigali and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 12.
The 29-year old power forward had a double-double of 33 points and 12 rebounds, while her team outclassed, the league's bottom-ranked team UR Kigali (#11, 0-13) with 94-point margin 129-35. It allowed REG to consolidate first place in the Rwandan D1. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is already in a full swing and REG still have not lost a single game, getting all 13 victories. In the team's last game Mushikiwabo had a remarkable 59.1% from 2-point range. She has many years of experience at REG, through which she has constantly improved. Sandrine Mushikiwabo averages this season 12.5ppg and 6.3rpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young international center Charlotte Umugwaneza (195-C-1984) of APR BBC Kigali. Umugwaneza impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 25 points and 12 rebounds. Of course she led APR to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked EA Univ (#6, 6-7) 85-64. APR's 3rd position in the standings has not changed. Her team lost just two games this season, while they won 12 matches. Umugwaneza is one of the most experienced players at APR and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 18.7ppg (#5). She also registered 13.1 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was Beninese Veronica Keita (190-C-2001) of second-ranked Kepler BBC Kigali. Keita scored 13 points and grabbed 27 rebounds (!!!). She was a key player of Kepler, leading her team to a 69-61 win against the lower-ranked Azomco (#8, 4-9). Keita has a great season in Rwanda. After 13 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 14.9ppg (8th best) and rebounds with 20.8rpg (#1 in league).
