Maiga's double-double lands her Player of the Week award

27-year old Mali power forward Kadidia Maiga (185-PF-1997) had a very impressive game in the last round for second-ranked REG BBC Kigali and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 10.
She had a double-double of 24 points and 21 rebounds, while her team outclassed Gahini (#9, 2-7) with 29-point margin 76-47. REG maintains the 2nd position in Rwandan D1. They are still close to the very top. REG would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 8-1 record. Maiga just recently signed at REG, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Maiga has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in points (5th best: 18.4ppg), rebounds (2nd best: 16.4rpg), assists (8th best: 4.8apg) and averages solid 1.2bpg,3.6spg and 53.3% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Kadiatou Coulibaly (1990) of The Hoops Kigali. She is Mali in her first season at The Hoops. In the last game Coulibaly recorded an impressive double-double of 28 points and 16 rebounds. Of course she led The Hoops to another comfortable win outscoring slightly lower-ranked Azomco (#8, 4-6) 67-47. This victory allowed The Hoops to move up to 6th position in the standings. Her team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 4-5 record. Coulibaly is one of the most experienced players at The Hoops and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to center Charlotte Umugwaneza (195-C-1984) of APR BBC Kigali (#3). Umugwaneza scored 15 points and grabbed 22 rebounds (!!!). She was a key player of APR, leading her team to a 76-57 easy win against #4 ranked RP-IPRC Huye in a game of the week. APR is closer and closer to top of the standings. They will still need more victories. But 8-2 record is not that bad... Umugwaneza has a great season in Rwanda. After 10 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 19.8ppg (2nd best) and rebounds with 14.8rpg (3rd best).

8. Marie Imanizabayo (PG-1996) of APR - 13 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists
9. Josephine Uwineza (C) of Gahini - 7 points, 8 rebounds and 10 assists
10. Adeline Ihimbazwe (SG) of Azomco - 6 points, 16 rebounds and 2 assists
