Micomyiza's 34-point game gives her Player of the Week award

29-year old Ugandan point guard Rosine Micomyiza (162-PG-1995) put on an amazing game in the last round for REG BBC Kigali and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 7.
She had the game-high 34 points adding nine rebounds and five assists for REG in her team's victory, helping them to beat The Hoops (#7, 3-4) 83-71. REG is placed at 3rd position in Rwandan D1. They are still close to the very top. REG would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 5-1 record. In the team's last game Micomyiza had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range and got six three-pointers out of 8 attempts. It's her second year at REG and it's hard to imagine this team without her. Rosine Micomyiza averages this season 14.5ppg and 5.5rpg.

Second best performed player last round was Feza Ebengo (1999) of The Hoops Kigali. She is DR Congolese in her first season at The Hoops. In the last game Ebengo recorded an impressive double-double of 21 points and 19 rebounds. Of course she led The Hoops to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked UR BBC (#10, 1-8) 81-42. This victory allowed The Hoops to move up to 7th position in the standings. Her team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 3-4 record. Ebengo is one of the most experienced players at The Hoops and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Fabiola Umunyuragaju (F) of Azomco BC (#6). Umunyuragaju scored 23 points and grabbed 13 rebounds (!!!). She was a key player of Azomco, leading her team to a 70-52 easy win against slightly lower-ranked Gahini (#8, 2-4). Umunyuragaju has a very solid season. In 8 games in Rwanda she scored 10.5ppg. She also has 8.0rpg and a FGP of 50.8%.
