Keita's double-double lands her Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

23-year old Beninese center Veronica Keita (190-C-2001) had a great game in the last round for league's best team Kepler BBC Kigali and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 4.
She had a double-double of 23 points and 23 rebounds, while her team beat EA Univ (#7, 1-3) 82-73. It allowed Kepler to consolidate first place in the Rwandan D1. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Kepler already had a very good start winning all 6 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Keita had a remarkable 61.5% from 2-point range. She just recently signed at Kepler, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Keita has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in points (7th best: 17.7ppg) and averages solid 1.3bpg.

Second best performed player last round was Assouma Uwizeye (182-C-1996) of league's second-best APR BBC Kigali. She is international center in her 7th season at APR. In the last game Uwizeye recorded an impressive double-double of 25 points and 11 rebounds. Of course she led APR to another comfortable win outscoring UR BBC (#11, 0-5) 112-36. APR's second position in the standings has not changed. A very good start of the season for her team, which won so far all 4 games without any defeat. Uwizeye is one of the most experienced players at APR and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to Josiane Ishimwe (SF) of GS Gahini (#5). Ishimwe scored 29 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. She was a key player of Gahini, leading her team to a 80-46 easy win against UR Kigali (#10, 0-4). The chances of Gahini not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 2 games, recording just one victories. With bigger assistance of her teammates, Ishimwe could try to bring Gahini's a little bit higher in the standings. Ishimwe has individually a great season in Rwanda. After only 3 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 19.3ppg (3rd best).
