Faustine Mwizerwa gets MVP of the Week award for Rwandan D1 (by Hoops Agents)

International Guard Faustine Mwizerwa (G-2001) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for REG BBC Kigali and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 3.
The 23-year old guard had a double-double of 35 points and 10 rebounds, while her team outclassed, the league's bottom-ranked team UR Kigali (#10, 0-3) with 107-point margin 137-30. REG maintains the 4th position in Rwandan D1. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. But it's just the very beginning of the season and REG won both games without losing any. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team's last game Mwizerwa had a remarkable six three-pointers out of 11 attempts. She turned to be REG's top player in her first season with the team. Mwizerwa has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in points (5th best: 19.5ppg), assists (7th best: 5.5apg) and averages solid 12.0spg,83.3% FGP and 43.8% from behind 3-point line.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Beninese center Veronica Keita (190-C-2001) of league's best team Kepler BBC Kigali. Keita impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 19 points and 32 rebounds. Of course she led Kepler to another comfortable win outscoring UR BBC (0-4) 105-41. A very good start of the season for her team, which won so far all 4 games without any defeat. Keita is one of the most experienced players at Kepler and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 16.0ppg (#7). She also registered 19.5 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was another REG's star - Gloriose Byukusenge (SG-2001). Byukusenge showcased her all-around game by recording 28 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists in the last round. She was another key player of REG BBC Kigali, helping her team with a 137-30 easy win against UR Kigali (#10, 0-3). REG has a very good start of the season. But there were just 2 games played, so it's too early to judge them at this stage. Byukusenge also has a very good start of the season with very strong stats. Byukusenge has a great season in Rwanda. After only 2 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.5ppg (6th best) and assists with 4.5apg (6th best).
