Keita number one in Rwanda D1 for round 2 (by Hoops Agents)

Beninese Center Veronica Keita (190-C-2001) put on an amazing game in the last round for top-ranked Kepler BBC Kigali, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 2.
The 23-year old player had a double-double of 18 points and 20 rebounds, while her team outclassed, the league's bottom-ranked team UR Kigali (#11, 0-2) with 60-point margin 77-17. It allowed Kepler to consolidate first place in the Rwandan D1. The season is still on an early stage, but Kepler already had a very good start winning all 3 without losing a single one. Keita just recently signed at Kepler, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Veronica Keita has solid league stats. She is in league's top in points (9th best: 15.0ppg), rebounds (3rd best: 15.3rpg) and averages impressive 1.7bpg and 2.3spg.

The second best player in last round's games was young international center Charlotte Umugwaneza (195-C-1984) of league's second-best APR BBC Kigali. Umugwaneza had a very good evening with a double-double of 24 points and 13 rebounds. Of course she led APR to another comfortable win outscoring Azomco (0-1) 96-54. Her team has extremely good start of the season. They won both games so far. However the season is at the beginning, so everything can happen. They still may lose their high position in the standings. Umugwaneza is one of the most experienced players at APR and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 31.0ppg (#2). She also registered 15.5 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was another APR's star - Mali guard Kamba Diakite (172-G-1999, agency: The French Family Consulting). Diakite showcased her all-around game by recording 20 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists in the last round. She was another key player of APR BBC Kigali, helping her team with a 96-54 easy win against Azomco (#7, 0-1). APR has a very good start of the season. But there were just 2 games played, so it's too early to judge them at this stage. Diakite also has a very good start of the season with very strong stats. Diakite has a great season in Rwanda. After only 2 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 29.5ppg (3rd best) and assists with 6.0apg (6th best).
