Umugwaneza's double-double lands her Player of the Week award

40-year old center Charlotte Umugwaneza (195-C-1984) had an amazing evening in the last round for second-ranked APR BBC Kigali and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 1.
She had a double-double of 38 points and 18 rebounds, while her team outclassed, the league's bottom-ranked team UR Kigali (#11, 0-2) with 82-point margin 124-42. APR maintains the 2nd position in Rwandan D1. But it's just the very beginning of the season and APR won both games without losing any. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. Umugwaneza has many years of experience at APR, through which she has constantly improved. Umugwaneza has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in points (2nd best: 31.0ppg), rebounds (2nd best: 15.5rpg) and averages solid 4.0bpg and 66.7% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Kamba Diakite (172-G-1999, agency: The French Family Consulting). She is Mali guard in her first season at APR. In the last game Diakite recorded an impressive 39 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Of course together with Umugwaneza she helped APR BBC Kigali with another comfortable win outscoring UR Kigali (0-2) 124-42. Her team has extremely good start of the season. They won both games so far. However the season is at the beginning, so everything can happen. They still may lose their high position in the standings. Diakite is a newcomer at APR and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 29.5ppg (#3). Her other stats are also decent: 7.5rpg and 6.0apg.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Ramla Munezero (SG-2003) of REG BBC Kigali (#4). Munezero got into 30-points club by scoring 46 points in the last round. She went also for nine rebounds and five assists. She was a key player of REG, leading her team to a 99-47 easy win against UR BBC (#10, 0-2). REG has a very good start of the season. But there was just one game played, so it's too early to judge them at this stage. Munezero also has a very good start of the season with very strong stats. The season just started for Munezero as she played only first game. But it already looks like she can be team's leader.

9. Odile Tetero (162-PG-1998) of REG - 13 points, 3 rebounds and 6 assists
10. Stella Dusingizumuremyi (154-PG-2003) of RP-IPRC Huye - 15 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists
