The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Azomco in Kigali on Saturday night. Visitors were rolled over by APR 96-54. APR held Azomco to an opponent 23.5 percent shooting from the field compared to 39.3 percent accuracy of the winners. APR forced 34 Azomco turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Azomco's players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when APR made 7 blocks. 24 personal fouls committed by Azomco helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The former international center Charlotte Umugwaneza (195-1984) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 13 rebounds. The former international point guard Marie Imanizabayo (-1996) contributed with 22 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals for the winners. There were no big surprises in other games of round 2: EA Univ lost to undefeated RP-IPRC Huye on the road 67-73. GSMRR won against UR BBC on its own court 59-46. Kepler managed to outperform Gahini in Kigali 68-58.
The most impressive performance of 2nd round was 13 points and 14 rebounds by Claudine Umukundwa of Gahini.
