Rwanda Energy Group and APR women basketball teams have secured their slots into the semi-finals of the ongoing Women's Basketball League Africa (WBLA) Zone 5 qualifiers in Zanzibar after eliminating Uganda's JKL Lady Dolphins and Burundi's Gladiators respectively in the quarter-finals. REG confirmed their last four ticket on Thursday after overcoming JKL Lady Dolphins 67-52 while APR also advanced to the knockout stage following a 67-55 win over Gladiators. The semifinals will take Friday, November 1. They Rwandan giants are now a win away from qualifying for the AWBL finals as the top two teams bag automatic slots for the December basketball show in Dakar, Senegal.
