D1 Round 3 of Semi-Finals. APR and REG advance into Finals

APR - GSMRR 86-45

APR held GSMRR to an opponent 20.8 percent shooting from the field compared to 40.5 percent accuracy of the winners. APR forced 25 GSMRR turnovers and outrebounded them 74-40 including a 28-16 advantage in offensive rebounds. APR players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by GSMRR's players. It was a great evening for the former international center Charlotte Umugwaneza (195-1984) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 20 rebounds. American forward Tylar Bennett (193-1999, college: ECU) helped adding 11 points and 10 rebounds. Four APR players scored in double figures. APR's coach felt very confident using 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was guard Marie Yamfashije (-2002) with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds and forward Brigitte Nibishaka (175-2006) scored 14 points and 8 rebounds.

REG - Kepler 70-56

It was a good game for Kristina Uking who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 17 rebounds. American-Kenyan Victoria Reynolds (178-1997, college: William & Mary) contributed with 20 points and 5 assists for the winners. REG's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Gbenakpon Keita answered with 7 points and 18 rebounds and Henriette Uwimpuhwe added 21 points in the effort for Kepler.
