GSMRR - APR 37-61

APR held GSMRR to an opponent 20.8 percent shooting from the field compared to 39.1 percent accuracy of the winners. APR forced 21 GSMRR turnovers and outrebounded them 59-39 including a 43-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. The former international center Charlotte Umugwaneza (195-1984) had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 16 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American forward Taylor Hosendove (188, college: Oregon) chipped in 12 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Forward Brigitte Nibishaka (175-2006) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds and guard Marie Yamfashije (-2002) scored 9 points and 7 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.

REG forced 20 Kepler turnovers. The former international point guard Odile Tetero (162-1998) orchestrated the victory by scoring 14 points and 4 assists. The former international point guard Rosine Micomyiza (162-1995) contributed with 12 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. REG's coach felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Gbenakpon Keita replied with 8 points and 17 rebounds and Henriette Uwimpuhwe added 17 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Kepler.
