The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Kigali: REG (#2) and The Hoops (#7). REG (12-1) smashed visiting The Hoops (4-7) by 17 points 80-63. REG forced 25 The Hoops turnovers and outrebounded them 44-31 including 30 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international point guard Odile Tetero (162-1998) who helped to win the game recording 15 points and guard Jordan Umuhoza (-1996) who added 11 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. REG's coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side the former international center Jane Dusabe (-2005) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks. REG have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 12-1 record having just one point less than leader APR. The Hoops at the other side keep the seventh place with seven games lost. REG are looking forward to face Gahini (#8) at home in the next round where they are favorite. The Hoops will have a break next round.

The winners were led by forward Brigitte Nibishaka (-2003) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 44 points (!!!) and 21 rebounds and Yvonne Muhawenimana supported her with 22 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals.
