An interesting game for REG (11-1) which played road game in Cyabingo against 3rd placed GSMRR (9-2). Second ranked REG had an easy win 68-49. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of GSMRR. REG dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to GSMRR's 22. REG forced 27 GSMRR turnovers and outrebounded them 54-42 including a 24-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. REG looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by GSMRR's players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when REG made 7 blocks. It was a good game for Kenyan center Mercy Wanyama (185-1992) who led her team to a victory with 9 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists. Center Linda Uwitonze contributed with 15 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Yvonne Muhawenimana (-2002) answered with 16 points and 6 rebounds for GSMRR.
