Umunyuragaju number one in Rwanda D1 for round 13

Fabiola Umunyuragaju put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for East Africa University, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 13.
The player had a double-double of 11 points and 16 rebounds, while her team beat UR BBC (#10, 0-13), the league's bottom-ranked team 58-48. EA Univ is placed at 6th position in Rwandan D1. EA Univ is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 5-8 record. Umunyuragaju just recently signed at EA Univ, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Fabiola Umunyuragaju averages this season 8.7ppg and 9.7rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was another EA Univ's star - young Ange Akimana (F-1996). Akimana had a very good evening with a double-double of 15 points and 11 rebounds. Of course together with Umunyuragaju she helped East Africa University with another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked UR Kigali (#9, 1-12) 77-42. This victory allowed EA Univ to move up to 6th position in the standings. Her team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 5-8 record. Akimana is one of the most experienced players at EA Univ and similarly like Fabiola Umunyuragaju has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was another EA Univ's star - Princess Louaka. Louaka scored 6 points and grabbed 15 rebounds (!!!). She was another key player of East Africa University, helping her team with a 77-42 easy win against the lower-ranked UR Kigali (#9, 1-12). The chances of EA Univ not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 8 games, recording just five victories. With bigger assistance of her teammates, Louaka could try to bring EA Univ's a little bit higher in the standings. Louaka has a very solid season. In 7 games in Rwanda she scored 7.4ppg. She also has 9.7rpg and 1.6bpg.
