Umugwaneza number one in Rwanda D1 for round 10 (by Hoops Agents)

International Center Charlotte Umugwaneza (195-C-1984) had a very impressive game in the last round for top-ranked APR BBC Kigali, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 10.
The 39-year old player had a double-double of 21 points and 18 rebounds, while her team beat EA Univ (#7, 3-8) 67-52. It allowed APR to consolidate first place in the Rwandan D1. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. It's already very far into the season and APR keeps a perfect 10-0 record. Umugwaneza has many years of experience at APR, through which she has constantly improved. Charlotte Umugwaneza has solid league stats. She is in league's top in rebounds (3rd best: 15.6rpg) and averages impressive 1.9bpg and 2.7spg.

The second best player in last round's games was Sharifah Uwase (SG) of Groups Scolaire Marie Reine Rwaza. Uwase had a very good evening with 11 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Of course GSMRR cruised to a 60-53 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked Gahini (#8, 2-7). GSMRR's 3rd position in the standings has not changed. Her team lost just two games this season, while they won 8 matches. Uwase is a newcomer at GSMRR and despite she is not a team leader yet, every game she becomes more reliable player. Hopefully performances like the last one will happen more often.

Third on the list of top players last round was Aline Uwimana of GS Gahini (#8). Uwimana scored 10 points and grabbed 15 rebounds (!!!). Despite Uwimana's great performance the Gahini lost 53-60 to the higher-ranked GSMRR (#3, 8-2). But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates. Gahini can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 2-7 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Uwimana has a very solid season. In 9 games in Rwanda she scored 4.8ppg.

9. Faustine Mwizerwa (G-2001) of REG - 11 points, 3 rebounds and 11 assists
10. Linda Uwitonze (C) of REG - 15 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists
