Brigitte Nibishaka, 17-year old forward from the Groups Scolaire Marie Reine Rwaza, picked up the Forward of the Year at the Division 1. She was also voted to the First Team. The standout Ugandan point guard Rosine Micomyiza was selected to the First Team of the championship-winning REG BBC Kigali. Her excellent performance assisted her team in beating APR BBC Kigali 4 to 0 in the final series. Micomyiza registered almost 14 points and over 3 rebounds per game over the season in the league. Taylor Hosendove, American forward from the APR BBC Kigali, was chosen to the First Team of Division 1. She graduated from the Oregon last year. She was selected to the All-Sun Belt Third Team back in 2021.
