Partizan keeps Jekiri for another season

KK Partizan Mozzart Bet Beograd (KLS) has re-signed 31-year-old Nigerian ex-international 212cm center Tonye Jekiri (college: Miami, FL) for the new season. He is the second import player in the roster, with South Sudanese Carlik Jones signing earlier. Jekiri played for the team last season, averaging 7.5ppg, 5.0rpg, and 1.4apg in 15 Euroleague games, and 9.6ppg, 4.8rpg, and 1.6apg in 19 ABA League games. He also briefly played for PBC CSKA Moscow in the Russian league.
He tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2016. Jekiri was a member of the Nigerian Senior National Team between 2019 and 2020.
He is a very experienced player. Jekiri has played professionally in Belgium (Oostende), France (ASVEL Lyon Villeurbanne Basket), Russia (UNICS Kazan), Spain (Baskonia) and Turkey (Fenerbahce, Gaziantep and TEKSUT Bandirma BK). His team made it to the Serbian Final Four in 2026.
He was selected for the French ProA All-Star Game in 2020.
Jekiri graduated from the University of Miami in 2016 and this will be his eleventh season in professional basketball.
