Sika Kone joins Dream

Atlanta Dream added to their roster 23-year-old Mali international power forward Sika Kone (6'3''-2002). She played this summer at Washington Mystics. In 11 WNBA games last season, she had only 2.1ppg and 1.6rpg.
Three years ago, she was drafted by the New York Liberty (WNBA) in the third round (29th overall).
She has also been a member of the Mali international program for some years. Kone has regularly played for the Mali senior team since 2021 and previously for the Under 19 National Team in 2021.
Three years ago, she represented Mali at the FIBA World Cup for Women in Sydney, Australia. Kone's team reached the Semifinals, and she averaged 12 points per game.
Kone has played also in Spain (Avenida, Gran Canaria and Estepona), other WNBA teams (Minnesota Lynx and Chicago Sky) and Spain. Her team made it to the Spanish LF Endesa Cup Finalist in 2025 final. She was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Spanish League All-Defensive Team in 2025.
