Estepona adds Kone to their roster

Sika Kone

CAB Estepona Jardin de la Costa del Sol (LF Challenge) added 23-year-old Mali forward Sika Kone (190cm-2002) to their roster for the new 2025-26 season. She is the second foreign player on the team, with Argentinian Melisa Gretter signing earlier. Kone played last season with the Washington Mystics (WNBA), averaging 2.1ppg and 1.7rpg in 10 games.
Three years ago, she was drafted by the New York Liberty (WNBA) in the third round (29th overall).
She was also a member of the Mali international program for some years. She played for Mali Senior National Team between 2021 and 2023 and previously for the Under 19 National Team in 2021.
Kone represented Mali at the FIBA World Cup for Women in Sydney (Australia) three years ago. Kone's team got to the Semifinals and she had 12 ppg.
She has also played for other USA teams, WNBA (Minnesota Lynx and Chicago Sky) and Spain (Avenida and Gran Canaria). Her team reached the Spanish LF Endesa Cup Finalist in 2025 final. Kone was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Spanish League All-Defensive Team in 2025.
