Mariam Coulibaly joins Joventut

Mariam Coulibaly

Club Joventut Badalona (LF Endesa) agreed terms with 26-year old Mali international center Mariam Coulibaly (192cm-1997). She has played for the last two seasons at IDK Euskotren in the LF Endesa. In 30 games she was the league's fifth-best scorer with an impressive 15.0ppg and averaged 8.9rpg (#2 in the league) and 1.1apg in the 2022-23 year. 2022-23 was a great season as she was voted Eurobasket.com All-Spanish LF Endesa Center of the Year, named to the All-Imports Team, and League Player of the Week. She also played 6 games in Eurocup where she had 14.8ppg, 5.5rpg, 1.3apg, and 1.2spg in the 2022-23 year.
Coulibaly has been a member of the Mali international program for some years. She has regularly played for the Mali senior team since 2017 and previously for the Under 18 National Team in 2014.
Coulibaly also represented Mali at the World Cup U19 for Women in Debrecen (Hungary) three years ago. Her team got to the Semifinals and she had almost 4 ppg.
She is a very experienced player. Coulibaly has played in France (Bretagne), Spain (Gran Canaria and Sant Adria), France, and Mali (Stade).
