Joventut keeps Dembele for another season

Gnere Dembele

Joventut Badalona (LF Challenge) re-signed 24-year-old Mali international 186cm power forward Gnere Dembele for the new season. She played there last season. In 32 LF Challenge games, she averaged 12.8ppg, 7.6rpg, 1.2apg, and 1.8spg. She helped them to win the LF Challenge Playoff title. It was a very successful season in her career as she was awarded Eurobasket.com All-Spanish LF Challenge Finals MVP, voted to Honorable Mention, and League Player of the Week (2 times). The previous (2022-23) season she played at another Spanish team IDK Euskotren. Dembele also played 23 games in LF Endesa where she had 6.3ppg and 3.3rpg in that year. Good season as she was also here selected League Player of the Week.
She has also been a member of the Mali international program for some years. Dembele has regularly played for the Mali senior team since 2021 and previously for the Under 19 National Team in 2019.
She also represented Mali at the FIBA World Cup for Women in Sydney (Australia) two years ago. Her team won Gold and she had an average of almost 8 points per game.
Dembele has played ppg for four other teams: Leganes, Adareva, Genero, and Barakaldo.
