Celta Zorka keeps Haidara for another season

LF Endesa newcomer Celta Zorka Recalvi Vigo has re-signed 20-year-old Mali international power forward Maimouna Haidara for the upcoming season. She is the second foreign player on the roster, with French player Clementine Samson signing earlier. Haidara played for the team last season, averaging 9.6ppg, 5.7rpg, and 1.8spg in 26 LF Endesa games. In the previous 2022-23 season, she played for another Spanish team, Adareva, in the LF Challenge.
She has been a member of the Mali international program for some years. She has regularly played for the Mali senior team since 2021 and two years ago for the U22 National Team.
Haidara represented Mali at the FIBA World Cup U19 for Women in Spain last year. Her team won Gold and she had an average of nearly 16 points per game.
She has played previously for another Spanish team, Genero.
