Seven players registered double digit scoring in Australian victory as the home side of the 2022 World Cup demolished Mali 118-58. Eziyoda Magbegor (193-C-1999) was the highest scorer of Australia with 15 points, while Darcee Garbin (188-F-1994), Cayla George (193-C-1989) and Sara Blicavs (189-F-1993) each scored 14 points for the Aussies. Tess Madgen (183-F-1990) netted 13, Marianna Tolo (196-C-1989) posted 12, whilst Samantha Whitcomb (178-G-1988, college: Washington) delivered 11. Australia won the first period 23-12 and dominated the rest of the game. They nailed 33 points in the second frame and notched 36 points in the third quarter. Djeneba N'Diaye (165-PG-1997) scored 15 points in a loss, while Kamite Dabou (179-F-2004) helped their team with 10 points.
