Dinamo Bucuresti (Liga Nationala) signed 31-year-old American (who also has a Guinean passport) 206cm power forward Ousmane Drame (college: Quinnipiac) for the new season. He is the second import player on the roster, with USA's Derrick Marks having signed earlier. Drame was the top rebounder at Boston v Cancer (The Basketball Tournament) in the U.S. In a recent TBT game, he scored only 2 points but grabbed 12 rebounds. Last season, he played for Start (OBL) in the Polish league. Drame has been a regular member of the Guinean Senior National Team since 2020.
He is a very experienced player, thanks to pro basketball he experienced life in eleven different countries playing on three different continents. Drame is familiar with European, African, and of course North American leagues. He has played professionally in France (Pau Lacq Orthez and Gravelines Dunkerque), Israel (Ironi Nahariya), Latvia (Ventspils), Lithuania (Jonava), Morocco (AS Sale), Poland (Zastal and MKS), Spain (Joventut), Turkey (Samsun), NBA G League (Westchester Knicks), Ivory Coast (Abidjan Basket Club), and The Basketball Tournament (Men of Mackey).
Among many awards, his team won the Alpe Adria Cup in 2023. Drame received the Eurobasket.com All-Alpe Adria Cup Player of the Year award and the Eurobasket.com All-Alpe Adria Cup Import Player of the Year award in 2023.
He graduated from Quinnipiac University in 2015 and it'll be his 11th season in pro basketball.
