Tarbes-Lourdes land Ahmed Doumbia

Ahmed Doumbia

L'union Lourdes-Tarbes Pyrenees Basket (NM1) signed 35-year-old Guinean-Ivorian international 195cm swingman Ahmed Doumbia for the upcoming season. He last played at Rivers Royal Hoopers in the Nigerian PBL league, where he averaged 4.5ppg, 3.5rpg, and 2.5apg in two Basketball Africa League games. Prior to that, he played at C'Chartres (ProB). Doumbia has been a regular member of the Guinean Senior National Team since 2018.
Doumbia has spent his entire career in France playing for eight other teams: Tours, ADA Blois, Etoile Angers, Bordeaux, Lorient, Gries/Oberhoffen, Saint Chamond, and Marmande.
During his career, he has achieved many awards, including making it to the NM1 Play-Offs Semifinals in 2022. He was voted to Eurobasket.com All-French NM1 Honorable Mention back in 2021. It may be one of the last seasons in his extensive career, which he may end at Tarbes-Lourdes.
