Avignon/Pontet adds Sy to their roster

Abdoulaye Sy

US Avignon/Pontet Basket (NM1) added 29-year-old Guinean-French international forward Abdoulaye Sy (201cm-1995) to their roster for the 2024-25 season. He has played for the last four years at CEP Lorient Basket. In 26 NM1 games, he recorded 4.7ppg, 4.8rpg, and 2.2apg last season.
He also represented Guinea at the FIBA World Cup 2023 African Qualifiers last year. However, his stats during that event were not impressive as he did not score any points.
Sy has played previously for three other teams: La Rochelle, ADA Blois, and Marseille.
His team reached the NM1 Play-Offs Semifinals in 2022.
