Andorra lands Shannon Evans II

Shannon Evans II

MoraBanc Andorra (Liga Endesa) has signed 29-year-old American point guard Shannon Evans II (who also holds a Guinean passport) for the upcoming season. Evans, who played college basketball at Arizona State, most recently played for Joventut in the Spanish Liga Endesa. In 17 games last season, he averaged 9.1ppg, 2.0rpg, and 2.8apg. He also played 6 games in the Eurocup, where he averaged 11.2ppg, 2.2rpg, and 4.0apg. Evans briefly played for the Ducks in the Chinese league. Since 2021, he has been a regular member of the Guinean Senior National Team.
He is a very experienced player, thanks to pro basketball he experienced life in five different countries playing on three different continents. Evans is familiar with European, Asian, and of course North American leagues. He has played professionally in China, France (Pau Lacq Orthez), Hungary (Atomeromu), Turkey (Bahcesehir), and Spain (Valencia and Real Betis).
In addition to these achievements, Evans has been recognized for his skills on the court. He was named Eurobasket.com All-Hungarian League Guard of the Year in 2020. His team reached the Spanish Liga Endesa Supercup Final Four in 2023.
He graduated from Arizona State in 2018 and it'll be his seventh season in pro basketball. Evans played also for The University of Buffalo for 2 years.
