The University of Memphis has signed 21-year-old Guinean 7-0 forward Moussa Cisse for the new season. He is the second import player in the roster, with Canadian Baraka Okojie signing earlier. Cisse comes from The University of Mississippi, where he played for one year. In 26 games last season, he averaged 4.5ppg, 4.6rpg, and 1.4bpg.
He played at Oklahoma State University from 2021-2023. He was voted to Lefty Driesell Defensive All-American Finals in 2023. He received All-Big 12 Co-Defensive Player of the Year award in 2022. He was selected to Big 12 All-Defensive Team in 2022 and 2023.
He graduated from Lausanne Collegiate Prep in 2020. His team won the Division II Class A state title in 2020. He received the MaxPreps Tennessee Player of the Year award in 2020. He was voted to the MaxPreps High School All-Americans Honorable Mention and the MaxPreps Junior All-Americans First Team in 2020.
His team won the NIT Championship in 2021, and the Rebels made it to the AAC Tournament Semifinals in the same year. He received the All-AAC Freshman of the Year award and was voted to the AAC All-Freshman Team in 2021.
