Guinea clinched Semifinal berth at the African Olympic Pre-Qualifiers. They overcame Tunisia 95-86 to take second place in the group. Tunisia started with a 21-20 run, whilst Guinea replied with a 29-20 rally in the second period to take an 8-point advantage at the halftime. Guinea managed to win the third quarter 25-18 and did nit mind a narrow 27-21 loss at the end.
Alpha Kaba (208-C-1996) top-scored for the winners with 22 points and Alpha Diallo (201-F-1997, college: Providence) poured in 19. Omar Abada (189-PG-1993) replied with 26 points in a loss and Jawhar Jawadi (189-F-1997) nothed 14.
