The University of Mississippi strengthened their roster with addition of 20-year old Guinean 7-1 forward Moussa Cisse for season 2023-24. Conakry native played for the last two years at Oklahoma State University. In 32 games he recorded 6.8ppg, 8.0rpg and 1.9bpg last season. Cisse received All-Big 12 Conference Co-Defensive Player of the Year award in 2022. He was voted to Big 12 All-Defensive Team in two consecutive years: 2022 and 2023.
Cisse played also at University of Memphis in 2019-2021. His team won NIT Championship in 2021. He helped OK State make it to the AAC Tournament Semifinals. Cisse received All-AAC Freshman of the Year award. He was also selected to AAC All-Freshman Team. His team won Division II Class A state title in 2020. Cisse received MaxPreps Tennessee Player of the Year award. Cisse was also voted to MaxPreps High School All-America Honorable Mention and MaxPreps Junior All-America First Team.
Cisse graduated Lausanne Collegiate Prep (Memphis, TN) in 2020. He played also for New Cisseights (NY) in UAA. His team won Division II Class A state title in 2020. He received MaxPreps Tennessee Player of the Year award. Cisse was also selected to MaxPreps High School All-America Honorable Mention and MaxPreps Junior All-America First Team. He played also at Expressions Elite (MA) in AAU in 202019 and then at Christ the King Regional High in 202018-2019. Cisse was also voted to Pangos All-America Camp in Norwalk, CA and All-EYBL Honorable Mention in 2019.
