SLAC - Fer.Beira 97-109

Ferroviario Beira tasted initial win in BAL Group B as they edged SLAC from Guinea 109-97. It was a great shooting night for Beira especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.0 percentage. William Perry (183-F-1994, college: Lenoir-Rhyne) notched 41 points and 8 assists to lead the effort and Najeal Young (198-PG-1994, college: TxWes) supported him with 26 points and 5 rebounds. Even 30 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks by Dane Miller (203-PF-1990, college: Rutgers) did not help to save the game for SLAC. Nigerian point guard Uchenna Iroegbu (183-PG-1996, college: Stony Brook) added 29 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists.
