Batabe Zempare (ex Neftochimic) joins Huima

Batabe Zempare

Aanekosken Huima (SM-sarja) agreed terms with 23-year old Ghanian forward Batabe Zempare (188-94, college: CSU Bakersfield, agency: LBM Management). She started the season at Neftochimic in Bulgarian NBL league. In three games she had 14.0ppg, 15.0rpg, 2.7apg and 1.0spg this season. The last season Zempare played at another team Roadrunners in U.S. semi-pro league NCAA1 where in 31 games she recorded 12.4ppg, 9.9rpg and 1.1spg. Zempare helped them to make it to the semifinals. Quite impressive season as she was named to All-WAC 1st Team, WAC All-Tournament Team and All-Defensive Team.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others her team was regular season runner-up in WAC for two years in a row (2014 and 2015).
Zempare graduated from Cal State - Bakersfield in 2016 and it is her first season as a professional player.
