Maurienne welcomes back Sonko

Moses Sonko

Aix-Maurienne Savoie Basket (NM1) inked 33-year old Gambian forward Moses Sonko (197-83, college: Co.Carolina, agency: HMS). It is actually his comeback to Aix-Maurienne as he played here before. Sonko started the season at BC Boncourt Red Team in Swiss LNA league. In only one game he had 12 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals this season.
Among other achievements he won Angolan League championship title in 2014. Sonko received also Afrobasket.com All-Angolan League 1st Team award in 2014.
He has played also professionally in Israel (Hapoel Yokneam/Megido), France (JL Bourg, Quimper UJAP and Boulazac Basket) and Angola (Libolo).
Sonko attended Coastal Carolina College until 2007 and it is his ninth season in pro basketball.
