Boncourt inks Moses Sonko

Moses Sonko

BC Boncourt Red Team (LNA) signed 33-year old Gambian forward Moses Sonko (197-83, college: Co.Carolina, agency: HMS). He played most recently at Clube Recreativo e Desportivo do Libolo in Angolan Division I. He helped them to win the league title. A very impressive season as he was named to Afrobasket.com All-Angolan League 1st Team.
The previous (12-13) season Sonko played at JL Bourg (ProB) in French league. In 33 games he had very remarkable stats: 16.0ppg, 6.3rpg, 1.8apg and 1.9spg (in top 4) in 2012-13 season. Quite impressive year as he was named to Eurobasket.com All-French ProB Honorable Mention.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he was voted Africabasket.com All-NCAA African 1st Team back in 2007 at his college time.
Sonko has played previously professionally in Israel (Hapoel Yokneam/Megido) and France (Aix-Maurienne, Quimper UJAP and Boulazac Basket).
He attended Coastal Carolina College until 2007 and it will be his ninth season as a professional player.
