Eric Kibi (ex Sloga Uppsala) is a newcomer at Al Ashrafiyah

Al Ashrafiyah (Premier League) strengthened their roster with the addition of experienced 35-year-old DR Congolese-Canadian ex-international forward Eric Kibi (198cm-104kg-1990, college: ACU). He already started the season at Sloga Uppsala in the Swedish Basketligan.

In 11 games, he recorded just 2.9ppg and 3.0rpg. Last season, he played at Al Hilla (Superleague) in the Iraqi league. He also played for another Iraqi team, Darbandkhan (Superleague) in the Iraqi league.
Kibi is a highly experienced player. He has played professionally in fifteen different countries on five different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America, Africa, and North America).

Some of the teams he has played for include Libertad, Tiro Federal, and Racing de Chivilcoy in Argentina, Rattlers and Blackjacks in Canada, Los Leones, Tinguiririca, and CD Espanol Osorno in Chile, Randers in Denmark, Golbey and Avignon/Pontet in France, Al Mina in Iraq, AS Sale in Morocco, Focsani in Romania, Handlova in Slovakia, L'Hospitalet in Spain, and Toros in Venezuela.

Kibi has received several awards during his career, including playing in the final of the Chilean Liga Nacional in 2023. He was voted to the Latinbasket.com All-Chilean Liga Nacional Honorable Mention in 2022.
He graduated from Abilene Christian University in 2012 and it is his 14th season as a professional player. Kibi played also for University of Arkansas at Little Rock for one year.
