ASB New Generation bounced back in the 2026 Road to BAL with a solid 79-70 win over New Tech Bantou, clinching ticket to Elite 16. Despite trailing 25-18 after the first quarter, New Generation responded with a strong second-quarter surge to take a narrow lead into halftime. A dominant defensive effort in the third quarter, where they held Bantou to just 12 points, proved to be the turning point. Although Bantou mounted a late push in the final period, New Generation’s consistent scoring and composure sealed the victory.
Omari Gudul (207-F-1994, college: Angelo St.) top-scored for the winners with 18 points and Michael Tshibende (199-SF-2003) had 15. Valentin Lele (185-SG-2004) replied with 25 points in defeat.
