Cantabria inks Christian Lutete

Christian Lutete

Grupo Alega Cantabria Torrelavega (Primera FEB) has agreed terms with Christian Lutete for the new 2025-26 season. The 28-year-old American, who also holds a DR Congolese passport, is a forward standing at 196cm and weighing 88kg. Lutete played for KK Bosna Meridianbet Sarajevo in Bosnia and Herzegovina Division I last season, averaging 8.5ppg and 2.6rpg in 25 games. He was instrumental in helping his team win the regular season and reach the final, as well as making an appearance in the Cup final. In addition, Lutete played 16 games in the ABA League, where he posted 7.0ppg and 2.1rpg, contributing to his team's championship victory. Since 2022, Lutete has been a regular member of the DR Congolese Senior National Team.
He is quite an experienced player. Lutete has played professionally in Finland (Kobrat), France (Nantes and ALM Evreux), Kosovo (Bashkimi), Romania (Sibiu), Israel (Hapoel Eilat), and The Basketball Tournament (Fort Wayne Champs).
He graduated from the University of Massachusetts - Lowell in 2020 and it will be his sixth season as a professional player. Lutete played also for Radford University for 2 years.
